Xebia India is pleased to announce the two-day ScrumMaster certification course, which provides everything you need to begin leading or participating in a Scrum team. On completion, participants are granted a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, (www.scrumalliance.org ) a valuable resource for Scrum information, and following the successful completion of a brief online examination, are registered as Certified ScrumMasters (CSMs).

Trainer

Sanjiv Augustine is the author of several publications including Transitioning to Agile Project Management: A Roadmap for the Perplexed, The Lean-Agile PMO: Using Lean Thinking to Accelerate Agile Project Delivery and the book Managing Agile Projects (Prentice Hall 2005); and the founder and moderator of the Yahoo! Agile Project Management discussion group. Sanjiv is also a founder and advisory board member of the Agile Project Leadership Network (APLN), and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) ’s Agile Community of Practice.

Course Description

You will learn the essential concepts and tools of Scrum, differences between agile processes and traditional “waterfall” methodologies, and how to build a roadmap for adopting Agile at your organization. Participants will learn how to lead development teams towards agile operations by: managing product backlogs, planning releases and sprints, tracking and reporting progress, and conducting retrospectives. This course is taught by a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer and leading Agile practitioner Sanjiv Augustine. 

Who Should Attend

Product and Line Managers, Project Managers, Software Developers, Module Leads and Managers who are planning to use Agile methods or Scrum for managing software development projects. Participants must have basic knowledge of software development process to benefit from this training.
